Safe Mode

My outlook is always operating on Safe Mode without
anything being disabled and does not allow me to use Word
as my editor.

Any recommendations

THis is not a multi-post! I posted my question under
GEneral and came here to find the same issue. I didn't
enter this entry ... there are 2 of us with this problem!

Tips of the month:
-Save Embedded Pictures in Their Original Format
-Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3
 
1) try running scanpst.exe on your Personal Folder

2) try renaming outcmd.dat to .old and restart Outlook. All the Toolbars
will reset then. This is quite a common problem with Outlook . The default
location for this file is:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

3) try recreating the profile in Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

4) when running Outlook in safe mode run Help-> Detect and Repair

5) try disabling individual add-ons in Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button
Advanced E-mail Options...
