In order to speed up the defrag process, I tried to run Diskeeper in the
Safe Mode. I received the following message "Diskeeper could not initialize
as a listener". Does this mean that Diskeeper drivers have not been loaded
in the Safe Mode? Help please!!

Running in Safe mode does *not* speed things up. That only uses basic
drivers which may even not be as fast as the regular ones. What it does
do is bypass the things loaded at boot in the ordinary way. If you are
really concerned about that you could use MSConfig to uncheck 'Load
Startup Items'. But I would not bother - run Diskkeeper under Normal
windows if you do not want to set up a boot time defrag to run before
Windows loads at all

Thanks Alex!
