.
Someone may have stored a data file in their private My
Documents folder. If it had been stored in the Shared
Documents folder anyone and everyone could acces it.
1. Create a data file in their My documents folder.
2. Copy the data fileto the shared documents folder.
(Leave the existing file in the My documents folder as a
backup if theiris a problem.
3. Restart the computer in safe mode and log on from the
welcome screen.
4. Open Windows Explorerand navigate to the Shared
documents folder.
5. Right click the file whose permissions are to be
adjusted and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.
Click the securtiy tab and remove all accounts except
Joe,Susie(Joe and Susie they are only an example.),and
System each of which should have Full Control.
6. Restart the computer, log on using each account, and try
to access the file .If the permissions work as
expected,delete the backup copy.
