safe mode only

need urgent help
have windows 2000 for my business(server) and it will only
start in safe mode even when i select normal mode...even
tried last configuration...
please help
 
Before anyone can help you, you will have to supply many
more details:
- Recent history of your machine
- Exactly how far it gets in the boot process
- List of all the messages you see on the screen (verbatim!)
- Anything else that could be relevant
 
boots all the way only opens in safe mode.
when windows opens it says missing file ss.bat used as a
server for internet sharing.. no other messages on
machine. only started happening this afternoon..
 
Press F8 during the boot stage, then force it back into
"Normal Mode" instead of "Safe Mode".

ss.bat is a file that you or your system administrator
placed there. Ask the author to restore it.
 
have tried forcing it 2 normal mode but no joy
