Safe mode-no icon

Run various on line scaan as well as the anti virus scan in normal mode.
However, when I go to Safe mode, there is no icon on the desktop. Why is that
so as I have icons on the desktop in normal mode. Please advice as I think my
pc is still infected with some ad-ware that I need to do in Safe mode. Thanks

Please see my answer to the other post you made. You need to clean up
your computer since it apparently is still infested with malware.
Making new posts about various problems is not useful. Get the machine
completely clean first; then if there are still problems left over from
the infections we can address them.

If you can't find your other post, go to Google Groups Advanced Search
and search for your name. If the malware removal procedures look too
complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea
- take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your
local version of BigStoreUSA).
