I have Access 98 installed but have bought an Access software package that runs on 200 or newer. Will the package run on 98? Someone has told me to install 'runtime' what is it, where do I get it, what version do I need and will it run my programme

Thank
Janet

First of all, there never was an Access 98. It went from Access 97 to Access
2000.

But the answer is no. No version of Access is capable of running
applications developed in a new version.

You cannot install the runtime yourself. The developer of the application
has to package the application up with the runtime and distribute it to you
that way.
