Runtime Error!

I am constantly getting the same "runtime error" which closes all my open Internet Explorer windows. The error reads as follows

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (title bar
Runtime Error
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.ex
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way
Please contact the application's support team for more information

Once I click the "OK" button, my open ie windows all shut down. I've searched everywhere for the answer to fix this problem and have had no luck. Help!?

Or this could be caused by another parasite. Try Ad-aware and/or Spybot.

Another possibility:
From Internet Options> Advanced, if you have Sun Java and microsoft VM
(virtual machine) uncheck Sun Java.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the help. Problem not yet solved.

I ran spybot and it found many problems. I deleted those
and the problem still exists.

Under Internet Options/Advanced the Microsoft VM section
only has "JIT compiler..." checked.

The error message is received repeatedly in Yahoo email
when I try to access the "POP Access and Forwarding" menu
in "Mail Options". This is the info from properties on the
button:

CWShredder from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Then download, install, update and run Ad-aware from
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

Problem Solved, (so it seems).

Ad-aware did it.

I went back to the Yahoo mail page that caused the problem
repeatedly and the problem did not reappear after I ran ad-
aware. Ad-aware quaranteed 29 items.
