Strange problem here and can't find a fix.
I have some .mpg movies that I have always been able to open in WMP 9.
All of a suddend, they won't open and I get a Runtime Error. All other
types of movies will open in WMP with no problems.
I also get an error with QuickTime 6 that says a software component
needed could not be found. I can open the exact same files on my work
computer which has pretty much all of the same features as my home
computer. I have recently upgraded to QuickTime 6, but I don't know if
that could be causing anything because I upgraded at work as well. The
files won't open in any of my other software as well (such as After
Effects 5.5, Premiere 6.5 or Pinnacle Studio 8).
I've tried un-installing and re-installing WMP 9, all of my Windows
Updates are current as of 11/18/03. I'm just baffled!
Windows 2000 SP3 (can't upgrade to SP4 - long story).
WMP 9
Pentium 4
QuickTime 6.4
I hope someone is able to help.
Thanks,
