Runtime error when installing SP4

I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I don't have
time to look through all 360 pages of posts.

I am having trouble installing SP4 to my Windows 2000
professional workstation. It accepted SP3 with no
trouble, but when installing SP4, it gets about 90%
complete then returns a runtime error and backs out of the
SP.

Has anyone else seen this before?

Have you "Googled" this runtime error that you got and didn't disclose in
your post?

As Nathan is using the Web interface Microsoft provides to the newsgroups, I
kind of understand him ;-)

and I would suggest not to use the usual Web search Google,
but the the newsgroup archive search at http://groups.google.com,
preferably at the Advanced Search view at
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search
 
Thanks for the tip. I hadn't found it in the regular
google search. I'll check out the advanced group.
