Tried to go to the Comcast Website and got a runtime error dialog box. When
I clicked to debug, the msg was:

JIT debugging component registration is incorrect. Repair the latest version
of Visual Studio.net. (Visual Studio.net is not a program I have loaded.)

Second option suggested manually repairing VS7jit.exe file.

Found the file, but don't know what to do with it. Can someone explain what
it's telling me and how to go about repairing the file.?

Unless you want to do freelance script debugging for Comcast.........

Open IE | Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab |
CHECK:
 Disable script debugging
[Specifies whether you want to turn off your script debugger, if one is
installed. Script debuggers are used by Web site developers to test programs
and scripts on their Web pages.]
UNCheck:
Display a notification about every script error
[Specifies whether to display the actual script errors when a page does not
appear properly due to problems with its scripting. This feature is off by
default, but is useful to developers when testing Web pages.]
Apply | OK

Thanks, Wes. The page loads now, but with errors now, in that the page does
not load completely. The header information and the sign in box are
missing. I can work around that. But I guess you're telling me that it is
a problem with Comcast's page, not IE. Is that correct?

Yep, not your fault or IE's. It's Comcast's fault.
Ooooooooowwww. Sign in box missing, not good.

You mean here??
http://www.comcast.net/comcast.html

Go here and select:
Technical Support - E-mail and seek advice from them after all you're paying
for the service.
http://www.comcast.net/memberservices/contactus/contact_us.jsp

Tell 'em about the errors and what you've done, etc.

Just don't let them talk you into doing something like reinstalling IE or
Windows XP.
