Pat,
If a program needs the key(s), it/they will get created.
Navigate to >>
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
Right click the CurrentVersion folder in the left hand pane | New | Key |
Name it RunServices
Navigate to >>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
Right click the CurrentVersion folder in the left hand pane | New | Key |
Name it RunServices
I didn't have
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
so I created it to verify the steps.
After you name it/them you can hit F5 to Refresh to alphabetize them right
away. They do that anyway if you close regedit and reopen it.
RunServices is one of the places that scumware startups like to hide.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
