Running Word from Access 2002

I have a macro in Access that brings up a blank Word document based on a
special template made especially for the Access application. The problem I
have is that the template is erratic: I end up with a new document, but the
Macro and Toolbar I have specified for this Template doesn't work if I run it
out of Access. One is an AutoNew macro and there's a toolbar; both are set
up in the Template.

So what am I doing wrong? HELP!!

Please show us the code that's accessing Word and manipulating the template.
