running win95 games on xp

How can i run win95 games in xp. Yes i have tryed using
the compatability wizard but this dous nothing. I would
be very great ful if anyong has the answer as i got a
great game and cannot use it.
 
What game, Bob? Have you tried installing (from the very beginning) in
Compatibility Mode? With some games that's what it takes.

Hi Alex,

If the compatibility wizard hasn't helped, it's possible that
the game you're trying to play was written for DOS instead.
Windows 95 and 98 allowed DOS games to directly access
hardware, which was great for gaming, but bad for stability.

When a game is a DOS game, it could work using compatibility mode:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=292533 or by using the Multiboot
bootdisk from: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~lpcd/downloads.html
and always check at fileplanet.com to see if there's a patch available.

With DOSBOX you can emulate a DOS computer on your XP desktop:
