I read somewhere that it might be possible to run Win2k on your ram only providing you have enough. Is this possible and if so, is
it a dramatic improvement from most people's hard drive setups?

I once got to use a system that had am 8 GB solid-state disk
drive. Real sweet - and real expensive. Apps loaded almost
instantly - almost as fast as if you had a RAM drive and had
installed the apps to the RAM drive.

If you have tons of RAM, one other thing I have tried are the
SuperCache and SuperSpeed products from www.superspeed.com.
SuperCache is more or less just a huge improvement of Window's
disk caching. SuperSpeed mirrors an entire partition in RAM.

So is it possible to use the ram in the system to run Windows or anything else on C:? And I wonder how much do you need?
