two hard drives. I have sent two threads in the last two days and neither have shown up on this site. Maybe this one will. I need assistance installing Win XP on my back up hard drive, and then copying all of the files from my main drive to the backup so that I can format the main hard drive to start it clean. I cannot use my floppy or my cdrw to copy the files as they will not work. I have searched through the microsoft info and the requested help from Western Digital and have found nothing. Can some one please help me out here? Thanks upfront!

You don't need to install XP on your other drive just to copy data to it. If the drive is installed and formatted, just move all data you wish to save to it, then boot fro
the XP CD and do a clean install on your first drive.

Jeff, thanks very much. I am not quite sure how to do as you've suggested but I will try it and get back to you.
