Is it possible to set-up two hardisks both with windows XP and then at boot up choose which hardisk i wish to start. Thanks people....

Yes, the first drive would be jumpered as the "master" and the second
jumpered as the "slave". You need to purchase a "full version" of
Windows XP for the second drive since you only have a license for
the first installation. During the setup phase, you select "New Installation"
and select the second drive for installation.

If you are will to spend the money, you can find a hard
drive splitter (much like a printer splitter where you
turn the knob for which ever printer you want to use). I
am using one with three hard disks. One with Win98, XP
and Linux. I like it and it is only around 60 bucks. But
I don't know if you can do it any other way.

just to clarify... while the orignal copy of XP is running you run the installation for the New (2nd Copy of XP) and ask it to install on the 2nd hardisk. Thanks

Any idea where you can purchase one of these switches on the net? Cheer

Correct, and setup will automatically create a dual boot loader so you'll
be able to select which drive to boot from when starting your computer.
