running older programs on XP?

Ive got a program that requires
486 or higher
DOS 5.0 or higher

its from the mid 90's
is there any way to run it on XP ?

You can try right clicking on the .exe/properties and use the
"compatible with" for Win 95.

Have you tried yet?
see if it will run in XP.
Also, compatibility mode (as suggested) is option.

Since you haven't told us the name of the program, nobody can answer your
question with certainty. However, the answer is "probably."

Most such programs will work just fine withoiut doing anything special. If
it doesn't work, you can try running it in compatibility mode.

Try it. It will either work or not. If it doesn't, you won't hurt anything
by trying.
