running macros during a presentation

I'm currently writing a presentation for a talk to give to a few students,
and during the presentation there is a list of items. I've recorded a macro
that will change the size of the sentence and colour. What i am trying to do
is run that during the presentation, i've tried adding an action to each list
item which calls the macro, with no joy. During the presentation all the item
does is change colour to red for some bizarre reason.

A recorded macro rarely works in Slide Show view. Recorded macros usually
do their stuff by selecting objects and doing something to the current
selection. Because you can't select objects in Slide Show view, you have
to do it a different way.

While I dicuss manipulating text in my book, I don't appear to have a
simple example on my Web site. You might look at Example 6.8, which
adjusts the text and text color on the last slide:

Go to Examples by Chapter and click on Chapter 6 to find this example.

If you explain further what you want to do and maybe even post the code
you have, we might be able to offer a better solution.

Another possibility if you are using PowerPoint 2002 or 2003 is to use
the animation effects to do the same thing. You might not need macros at
all.
