Depends on the program. I run a lot of made-for-98 programs that give
little, if any, problems. You might have to right click on the .exe and
choose the compatibility mode to be 9x.
A lot will directly. For others use All Programs - Accessories -
Program Compatibility Wizard, browse to the relevant .exe and say to run
in mode for Win95 or Win98
You may still find that there are some that just will not run; legacy
items that try to access hardware direct, or programs with 16 bit
drivers that are just not permitted by XP
