My client's system was running slow, I installed Adaware
6x and ran twice. on the second re-start the error
Rundll: error loading C:\windows\downloadedProgram
files\bridg.dll
Occured.
Before I go looking for this file to replace, does anyone
have experience with this issue?

Thanks

Bri

You sure it's spelled "bridg"?

How to find anything on the Internet or in Usenet Groups:

My client's system was running slow, I installed AdawareDon't be too concerned about the error. Ad-Aware removed the adware file,
but you need to remove the registry key that is executing it.

Go to Start, Run, and type regedit and hit OK. Hit the plus sign in front
of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and continue doing so to browse down to the following
registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. On the
right-hand side, delete the key that runs bridg.dll. Close regedit and
reboot.

An alternative method is to download HijackThis at
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html. Run HijackThis and check
the box in front of:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe
"C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll",Load
Hit Fix Checked and close HijackThis and reboot.

Good Luck

Vic,

I would suggest posting a new message explaining what's going on with your
machine. Be sure and include any error messages exactly as stated. Someone
will surely help you.

Good Luck
