i have my computer 3 years , windows xp and when i try to
go into internet explorer and search the web i get a run
time error message for about 3 weeks now and when the
message appears it boots me out of the internet explorer.
exact message reads : microsoft visualc++ run time
library programsc:\program files\ internet
explorer\iexplore.exe abnormal termination. PLEASE HELP

Check the first one.

Runtime Library Microsoft Visual C++. Runtime Error Program
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or Iexplore.exe, abnormal program termination.
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/CommonName.html

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Buffer overrun detected!
Program: C:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's
internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be
terminated.
This has been confirmed as parasites.

Runtime!
"Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\explore.exe"
The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
It appears that I have both Java(Sun) and MS VM on the PC. After
disabling/unchecking Java(Sun) the runtime error ceased in IE6. Source:
