Run prompt issues

When I try to access any of my hard drives via the run prompt (e.g. WinKey ->
Run -> "c:" my PC hangs for about aminute. I can open the drives immediately
via desktop shortcuts though.

Also, recently I cannot copy music CDs that my friend can. The music copies
to my PC but has no/broken sound when I try to play it.

Any adeas folks?

You can use FILEMON and REGMON from http://www.sysinternals.com/ to
troubleshoot this problem.

You might be running into DRM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Rights_Management

Or any number of other reasons.
