Hi,
I'm running Vista Premium. The run button used to be on my ORB menu
but it's not there anymore. Can I put it back?
How?

M.
TIA

Right-click on the Start Orb and choose Properties. On the Start Menu tab,
click the Customize button. You'll see where you can add Run to your Start
Menu.

Thanks Malke,
The 'Run' option you suggest appears to be only available on the 'Classic'
style menu, which I'm not using.
I'm using the Vista style menu but can't find the option. Now I know it was
there before because I remember seeing it! ???

Malke has already answered your question, but let me mention the alternative
that you can easily get the Run dialog by holding down the Windows key and
pressing R.

That's not true. You said you have Vista (even though you're posting in an
XP newsgroup) and I just added the Run entry to my Vista box exactly the
way I described to you and I don't use the Classic-style menu.

After you Customize your Start Menu and add the Run command, it will show up
on the right-side panel (the one that has links to Computer, Control Panel,
etc.). Maybe you weren't looking in the right place.

Don't see the OP....so will start here.

Is the Run Command checked off here: Right click the Start
Button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Run Command

If this is not the case:

This can happen from having too many items listed on the Start Menu. The
run command is the first to go.

If this is not the case, nor that Run isn't chosen under Customize:

Restore the Run Command (Line 57)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
