Run basic in WinXP

Can anybody give me a clue about how can I run a Basic
program in WinXP?

To vague - what kind of "Basic" are you talking about. There are
dozens of variants out there! Is it a form of Basic that requires an
interpreter during runtime? A form of Basic that's compiled into an
EXE, usually requiring a runtime library (like Visual Basic)? Be more
specific!
