The "Run as..." feature stopped working on my machine. When I try do
run a program with "Run as..." I get the error meassage "Windows
cannot access specified device, path or file."
The program runs when I double click it, but it cannot access folder
that are restricted.
How can I get that feature back?

Hello geder s dorf; hope this helps.
What OS are you running ?? If XP Pro, are you on a server or workgroup?
If you are on a server or workgroup and it is on a office server
network please ask assistance from your IT staff. If this is your own
system have you tried
" System restore " ??
To help for now; please read
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q294676 i.e.
Troubleshooting: If you try to start a program, such as an MMC console
or a Control Panel item, from a network location by using the Run As
command, it could fail if the credentials that are used to connect to
the network share are different from the credentials that are used to
start the program. The credentials that are used to run the program may
not be able to gain access to the same network share.
The RunAs and Secondary Logon services in Windows 2000 accept only
password authentication. If policies require smart card logon, then the
Run As command will not work. Smart card authentication can be used
with the Run As command in Windows XP.
The Run As command cannot be used from the LocalSystem account in
Windows XP Service Pack 2.
