How can I run windows explorer as different user ?

I can't run SHIFT+start-programs-acessories-windows explorer (run as) -
windows explorer doesn't start.

right click on your desktop and select
New > shortcut
then type explorer
next
finish


then right click > properties on the icon

tick box Run as different user

This only runs explorer in the context of the current user, not the 'runas'.
The only way AFAIK is to quit the explorer shell, making a shortcut redundant
