"Run as" command not appearing

I use my computer as a power user, often having to
utilise the "run as" function by shift-right-click to use
admin rights. However, recently, this command seems to
have disappeared. whenever i shift-right-click on
anything, there is no option to run as.

As I am not the only user of this computer, I'm not sure
what might have caused this. I have searched for a
solution, and the only thing i have tried is to restart
the secondary logon service, which hasn't seemed to have
worked.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

How to disable the Run As feature on a Windows Server 2003-based or on a Windows XP-based computer

This KB Article describes how to disable this feature. If it has been disabled, in this manner, then to undo the restriction, change the HideRunAsVerb entry to 0 (zero) instead of 1.

You may also want to look for this entry in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER branch of the Registry, as well as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

I have checked my registry, and that entry does not
appear in LOCAL_MACHINE or CURRENT_USER. Should I still
add that in and set it to zero? I assume that it would be
the same as what it is now anyway.

Any more help would be great.
Thanks

If its not there, then it won't hurt to add it, leaving the value set at 0 (zero).
