Johnathon Aaron Steel

Hi there.

I am trying to setup a rule in Outlook xp/2002 so that when an email
comes in from a specified person it will copy it to a "folder" on my
Hard Dive such as "c:\My Documents\email"

Is there any way to do this?

Thanx

JAS

No, rules can only move mail within Outlook, not to your file system. That
would have to be done manually.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Johnathon,

Actually you can save you email to a folder in your personal folder... which
in turn is saved as a .pst on your hdd....
by default : the location will C:\Documents and Settings\Wrecks\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst

Hope This helps

You can achieve some of the effects you want by looking for an add in
that will save message body and or attachments to a folder.

Check Slipstick for options:
