I am in the process of upgrading our computers from Office XP to Office 2007,
and was curious if anyone has experienced problems with existing email rules
- ie Rules no longer working, not being run, working unexpectedly, etc.

Thanks in advance.

And doing this when? With what type of account?

As to when, I don't follow. I suppose whenever Outlook is open. Accounts
are Exchange accounts.
I'm not experiencing problems myself, I just want to be prepared in case
there are problems.

Thanks.

In case there are problems when? When upgrading Outlook? When chamnging or
moving mailboxes? When upgrading Exchange? Clearly, if something is
working and nothing changes, then it will continue to work. Changes are
what usually engenders problems.

As stated at the beginning, the 'when' is upgrading from Outlook XP to 2007.
No other changes, modifications, etc. Even the weather will be the same :)

If your account is on an Exchange server, I wouldn't expect any issues. If
your account is POP, save a copy of your PST before updating, create a new
mail profile after updating, and connect that profile with your old PST.
Once you've done that, create a new PST (which will be in a newer format
allowing more data to be kept), transfer the data in the old PST to the new
PST, and change the mail profile to make the new PST the delivery location,
removing the old PST from the profile.

Thanks for the info.
