Hi!

I have created several rules for incoming and outgoing mail in my
Outlook 2003. The rules have been working fine until now. Lately I have
got mail from "<group> on behalf of <somebody>". Inspecting headers
shows that in these mails the "Sender" is <group> and "From" is
<somebody>. In my normal mails there is no Sender field in the headers.

For some reason the rules I have made are not applying to those "on
behalf of" messages. In the rules I have set "from people or
distribution list" and select the address of the "<somebody>" from my
Address Book. The rules work fine if there is not the Sender field in
the message headers.

Is it possible to make a rule that would use the From field even if
there was the Sender field?

Why not use "with specific words ..." instead?

After furious head-scratching, Petri Kiviniemi asked this group:

Thanks for help.

By using "with specific words in the message header" will apply also to
these "on behalf of" messages, but unfortunately it applies also to all
the messages containing the words in any of the header fields. I tried
also "with specific words in the sender's address" but it won't apply
to either of message types.

Any other suggestions?

I re-checked "with specific words in the sender's address" and it will
apply to the "normal" messages, but not to the "on behalf of" messages.
