I use Outlook 2003 on my IMAP mail account, and have set up a rule to copy
(or move) messages I send to my IMAP sent-mail folder. This rule
occasionally turns itself off. First, I will notice that messages aren't
saved in the sent-mail folder, and when I check in the Rules Wizard, the box
next to that rule has been unchecked. I use the same version of Outlook on
two different computers with the same IMAP account and same rule, and it
happens on both computers.
I have begun to use the Local sent-mail folder as a backup, but this is an
unacceptable long-term solution.
My only guess is that if/when my wireless internet connection briefly goes
out and Outlook fails to find the folder, the rule is turned off.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem, or have a suggestion how to fix it?
