'Rule in error' after syncing .PST with Briefcase

Hi, I have been successfully using Briefcase to sync my Outlook.pst Personal
Folders file and other files in that folder (outcmd etc.) with my laptop.
The only issue is that after the sync, the first time I download mail on
whichever device I just copied it back to, I get 'Rule in error' and it
unticks the rule in Rules Wizard.

If however I go into rules and retick it, or even if I go into rules BEFORE
I download mail the first time, then OK out of rules, it works fine then
onwards... until the next sync.

Any ideas how to bypass this?

Which file are rules stored in?

(Also out of interest, which file are my toolbar customizations stored in?)

Thanks.

Some rules contain not only the conditions and actions for the rule, but the
name of the machine on which to run. If you sync the PST to another
machine, the rules wizard will detect the change in machine name and
deselect those rules that are dependent on that information. Reenabling the
rule changes the machine information in the rule.

I don't hink you can.

The PST.

outcmd.dat.

Thanks! Now you have alerted me to that line of thinking, I notice there is
a 'on this machine only' tick box selected for each rule. I am unticking it
for all my rules and imagine that will solve the issue. Nice work Brian!
