I have received an e-mail that has a RTF formatted attachment and it does
display the contents of this file on the preview pane just fine. But when I
try to print this e-mail, all I get is a header and the rest is blank. I
have tried to load the RTF document with Word 2003 but here too, all I get
is blank screen.

After examining this document with Notepad, I found that there seem to be
proper RTF formatting but where the actual text should be is what seem to be
a hex numbers.

Any Ideas what the problem is? Is this related to the Security and/or
document restrictions settings

BASE64 encoding, probably, which Notepad and Word can't decode.

That is fine, whatever encoding was used is unimportant but the problem is
that such item can be viewed with Outlook but not be printed, that is if the
"encoding" was preventing this e-mail from being printed. On the end, I
saved this e-mail as a picture and then I was able to print it. Why and what
would create such a e-mail is my question. I was not able to get this info
from the person that send me this e-mail

Their mail agent created it. If it was RTF, then their mail agent is most
likely Outlook.
