Rs-232 in Excel

I am to try to receive information from a serial Port( Rs-
232) through excel 97. I tried to use mscomm32, it gives
error. (Ps: I have not installed the Visual Basic)
Somebody is capable to help me?

Hi,
MSCOMM32 works well with Excel VBA.
Post the code your running and what the error says. Exactly.
