I have recently upgraded from win2000 to win xp and now
the pc goes into a controlled 60 sec shutdown shortly
after dialling up the ISP (BT), was ok before under
win2000. The error is 'Remote Procedure Call has
terminated system shutdown in 60 sec'

Does anyone have any ideas what has caused this and what
is the fix ?

Many thanks
Dean
