RPC hang-up repair

I have a W2K Server which I believe may have been hit by RPC/blaster or
similar. Virus scans and repair tools show nothing. Port 4444 showed a
connection but is now blocked by a firewall.

Everyhting seems to work fine but the RPC service keeps crashing. At first I
could re-start it but now the START option is grayed out. I have applied
SPs, etc.

Is there a way to repair this? Reg hack? Replace specific files? Any ideas?

This may be blaster again. there is apparently a new
version which attacks on port 4444. I'm not sure that the
current symantec tools will recognize it.
