Hi,

I installed SUS on a server an it seems to be working fine. In my AD domain
I have W2K servers and XP Pro systems. I have set up Group Policies to
control the downloading, installation, and rebooting of the servers and
workstations. All works great on the W2K systems but the XP systems are not
getting the policy updates. I get the following error in the XP application
event log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1053
Date: 12/17/2003
Time: 10:20:18 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: YODA
Description:
Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (The RPC server is
unavailable. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Has anyone seen this before? This is the first policies that I have made for
this environment so I never saw this error before. Everything else seems to
be working fine. Any ides of what is causing this?

Thanks
Don

Problem has been solved. It was Aventail client software mucking up the
works. Once removed all problems disappeared.
