Hallo,

I bought the "Siemenc PC Card 11" Wireless Card yesterday. I have the
strange situation that when the card is inserted the operating system
recognizes it, connects to the access point, and even gets an IP adress via
DHCP. I have checked the routing table with "route print", and everything
seems ok. However, there is no way that I can connect to anything by
TCP/IP. Even pinging the router doesn't work.

Any ideas ?

Heber:

Is the address 169.254.x.x or is it in the scope of the DHCP server?
Run ipconfig cmd on the problem computer and on a non-problem computer, then
compare the IP addresses (and the subnet masks).

It was the address that the DHCP server was supposed to assign.

The problem has been solved, however, by de-installing and re-installing the
drivers (which I had done before without success, but this time it worked).
I also need to reboot the computer when I insert the PC Card. If I just
insert, then the PC card apparently is recognized, but the driver not
initialized correctly.
