Router problem ??

Hi,
Lately I have been unable to open certain websites. E.g.
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html
IE is trying to get to the website, but it seems to be timing out.

My son installed a router, to connect his laptop ,wireless to my cable. Can
this be the reason ?? I can open most all of the websites on my desktop.
Is there anything, besides removing the router, that can be done ?

Its impossible to answer your queries without more information about the
'router', how it's configured, and how your network/computer/browser etc
is set up.
