Does XP's built-in rotate jpg files have any lossy effect? I usually used
'jpegcrop' with my Win2000 computer and I notice on my laptop (XP) it
rotates them, problem is I don't know if I lose clarity like editing a jpg
does, any ideas?
Thanks,
R. Hamm

XP's rotation is not lossless or is lossy; take your pick.

does,

JPG is built around cells that are 8 by 8 pixels. Provided a picture is
a multiple of that both ways (usual) the system's rotation is lossless
(or rather adds no losses to those already present from the jpg
compression). If they are not a multiple, it will warn you
