I am having two problems on my computer.

From the other computers on my network i can't access \\"pc name" directory.
That computer has XP home. Also on the same pc one of the accounts has got
itself so it reports as being shared on the network while being private at
the same time (Windows treats it as private)

Any Ideas

Richard,

By "Root Folder" do you mean "C$"? The C$ share is also known as an
administrative share.

Windows XP Home limits you to Simple File Sharing, which uses Guest-only
authentication for network access. The C$ share, and the My Documents folder
for any non-Guest account (or any other portion of the shared folder space for
any non-Guest account) can't be accessed across the network from any server
running XP Home.

More about file sharing, between all different versions of Windows:
