How do I make windows roll up instead of maximize if I double click on
the title bar?

Also, is it possible to add another little button alongside the ones on
the top right corner of windows (maximize, minimize, close) that would
let me roll up the window?

thanks,
Sam.

Also NVidia cards have utilities that do this.

There are 2 more utilities available FREE that do a very interesting window
shading effect. One is to be found at 'freeshade' (browse for it) The other
has a 3D effect and is very cool.. Type Madotate into your browser and find
version 2.02.02...You're welcome!

That worked like a charm. Nvidia driver software gave me the controls
and also transparency ... cool.

Why isn't Windows XP configurable? Also, is there a reason Microsoft
doesn't give roll up feature included? I really don't think it is
necessary to employ third party options for such a basic and small thing.

thanks,
Sam.

They both look pretty cool! The latter seems is in japanese though -
with an English translation available. However, I am trying out Nvidia
stuff at present, maybe I will these two a try if that doesn't work out
nicely.

Thanks a ton,
Sam.

The "more you want" the "more you pay". SO just how much do you want to
pay?

I think it is unreasonable to have to pay more for this basic GUI
feature than what I have already payed for XP Professional.

Sam.

So take it back to the store and get your money back. Any more
"features" you believe "you deserve" for the original purchase?
