I would like to find out the Return on Investment in the following
circumstance. I have started out with a certain amount on Jan. 1 and
put it into the hands of my broker. I have withdrawn (somewhat small)
portions of that invested amount 2 or 3 times during the year. I want
to find out the ROI for the portfolio for the whole calendar year. Is
there a function that allows for this in Excel? I don't need to predict
the ROI, but rather calculate it at the end of the year.

Thanks,

Pedro

I think you want to use XIRR. It's a little complicated, you can probably
read the Excel help and also search in previous posts for XIRR.
