From the email you sent me, you're receiving a "553 Relaying Denied" message
from the laptop. This type error usually happens when you attempt to use an
SMTP (sending) server that does NOT belong to the ISP you're connected to.
Any server that allows this type of sending is known as an "open relay", it
will shortly be discovered by every spammer in the universe, it will
subsequently be used by said spammers to blast the whole world until it's
address is added to a Spam Relay (RBL) list at which point no other server
in the world will talk to it. Needless to say, you won't find an ISP that
will let you use his SMTP server unless you're connected to his network, or
you apply the specific authentication settings to the connection that the
ISP requires to enable such traffic from his non-connected customers. When
you're not connected to your ISP (you're out of town with your laptop
connected to some other ISP) change the sending (SMTP) server settings to
use the server owned by this ISP, or contact your ISP to find out if he
allows usage of his SMTP server when you're connected to a different ISP and
what authentication settings he requires to do this. Here's more info on
