I installed RIS on a Windows 2003 server (with all the patches) in our testing lab. The first image on the server is CD based XP Pro image. I tried to install the image on a Dell Inspiron 1100. The client machine connect to the server and entered text mode of the setup. Some initial setup files has been copied to client machine. Then the window hangs at a blue windows Setup window. The exact message on the window is: Setup is starting windows.
I tried several different Dell model machines and get the same thing.
I also created and CD Based XP image which has XP SP1 intergrated and got same result.
Any suggestion?

I've seen that happen with some network cards if the RIS client is on a 10mb
subnet. Can you test it on a 100mb subnet?

Are these dual-port nics?
