Great Blue

hi -

When I run from a client machine (attempting to send the image to the
RIS server), I often get errors about services or applications that
are running. These are things like Acrotray.exe, rtvscan, etc.

Can I safely ignore these services and apps (in fact, I want them
running on the deployed machines)? Or, do I need to track down each
service and shut it down?

thanks.

You can stop these services, just leave them configured to start
automatically and the clients will be configured the same way.

Thanks, Scott. I suppose the question is do I _need_ to stop them?
There are a lot of them, and I'd rather just leave them up.

thanks

Well, I suggest a test: leave them up and ignore the RIPREP errors. Then
RIS a client machine with the new image and see if everything is running.
If there are problems then stop the services and RIPPREP again.
