I am trying to fix some rights issues in Windows. I found an article on
Microsofts site:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q310399&sd=tech

I followed the first part and was able to enable auditing. But the second
part is talking about a Security tab in the folder properties. I have no
such tab. I have the sharing tab, but not the security. I thought they
were the same thing, but maybe i was wrong. It is also talking about an
Advanced button in the security tab, but thats no where to be found either.

Can anyone help me and let me know what I am doing wrong.

Thanks,

Aaron

.Try control panel/folder options/classic
folder setting - checked off
it worked for me

The security dialog in the properties of NTFS objects
is always available in a safe mode boot, or in Pro edition
it is available in a normal boot when not in simple sharing
mode (this mode is controlled by the checkbox at the bottom
of the View tab of Folder Options).

Thanks you guys for your help. I did exactly what you suggested and that
made it work.

Thanks again,

Aaron Todd
