Right taskbar randomly dispayed after unstalling SP2

Hi
I was adviced by my ADSL-supplier to uninstall SP2 (I use XP Professional).
All worked well but now the right taskbar below sometimes show all open
programs sometimes just a few. I like to have the icons there so what to do?
 
Hi,

Along the Taskbar lines...I have a problem where the collapse expand arrow
is way out over the middle of my screen and the distance between it and the
left of the screen is enormous. If I restart, the problem is corrected but I
would like to know how I can figure out what is causing it. I have tried the
taskbar repair tool that has been recommended but that has not helped.
