right click save as jpeg

My friend sends me via email photos to put on her
website for her, up to about a week ago, I could
right click on the photos and save them to my
hard-drive as a jpeg--just the way she is sending
them, but all of a sudden, now, when I right click
on the jpeg she is sending me, my only choice to
save it is as a bmp. Why is this happening?
I have added no new hardware or software to
my computer. how do I get it back to normal?
I have several software imaging programs on
this computer, Photoshop 7 and Paintshop Pro,
but those have been on the computer for several
months and this problem just started about
a week ago.
Frankly, I am getting so I really hate
the Microsoft products and wish someone else
would come out with something totally new
for the PC's so we could dump windows completely.
 
The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
