Hi,
I need to insert a row in a subform and I thougth right clicking on the
record selector would be the easiest way... on form view when I right click
the only options are copy and cut and once selected, paste. I've tried to
create a custom form menu and that is not working either. I need to be able
to insert a row in between existing rows... is the only solution to create a
new record and refresh the sorting order? I'm using an Access project with a
MSDE bac-kend database.

As usual any help will be greatly appreciated

gaba,
All Access forms and subforms present New records at the end of the
recordset (unless in DataEntry Mode). If a record needs to be situated
between other existing records, then you should have some field it that
recordset that makes that position "logical".
For example, a subform of transactions, sorted by date, would allow you
to enter a new record with an older date, and upon updating the recordset,
it would situate itself where it belongs in the order, not where you might
like to place it.
What position a record ends up in depends upon the sorting logic of your
subform.
